Hi! We’re Jessa & Sally
Think of Arlington Sew as your starting place for all things sewing. We write a lot about how to approach, prepare and plan for a new sewing project. We also share beginner-friendly sewing and embroidery machine reviews, along with the best places to find detailed tutorials and in-depth classes – pretty much all the things you’ll need to bring your vision to life.
We also interview makers about their sewing business to learn how they got started with sewing and how they turned that love into a business.
You’ll find plenty of sewing inspiration, no matter your skill level. The only thing left to do is decide what project you’ll start with!
About Jessa & Sally
By day, Jessa is an editor and Sally is a graphic designer. By night, we’re super stitchers – Jessa on her trusty (aka “old”) Singer Confidence that she refuses to give up, and Sally on her fancy Brother SE1900. We’re both 4th generation sewists and we’re proud to keep the tradition going by sharing resources that make it easy to get started (or go further).
We review and promote things that we have personal experience with or that we’ve researched intensely. We promise to always be real and never promote products, equipment, or programs that we don’t honestly believe are great.
Our hope is to make Arlington Sew a friendly place that pulls the best sewing resources together in one place so you can get started quickly – or take your current skill to the next level.
